From Opera to The Classical American Songbook A series of three afternoons with Dr. Ira Hayes Sundays 4 - 6 PM September 26, October 3 & 10 Bellport-Brookhaven Historical Society 12 Bell Street, Bellport Full series of three: $40 Single tickets at the door: $15 GREAT VOICES—mostly from opera, but also from Broadway and the classical American songbook—mostly Mozart, Verdi, Puccini, and Wagner but also Irving Berlin and Stephen Sondheim. We will talk about why some voices thrill us, why they are unforgettable, instantly recognizable—from Caruso, Callas and Pavarotti, to Sinatra and Streisand.
